Oh yeah man, I live on 13 acres here, need something to ride out and check the mail, take out the trash, etc. Its got nobbies on it. Got it at an estate sale, almost new, for an absurdly small amount of money. Did I get the fuzzy dice in the shot? lol

Texas is big in case you hadn't heard. And when I say 'hadn't heard', I meant in the background of the videos, the locusts that sound like lawnmowers

Blimey, thats some spread - and I thought the back ground noise was the plane buzzing...

Got a question for you.
Just received the motor and esc ordered during the week.
Now the esc as 3 black wires coming from the end that goes to the motor.
These in the past have been coloured, blue, red and yellow I think.

How do I know which goes to which wire to the motor?
The motor has red, black and yellow...

Help

Thanks, I will keep that in mind. I play around with Photoshop a bit but I'm a novice at best. I wish I had the time to take some classes
or something, though.

Just hook the wires together paying no attention to the colors. If the prop spins backwards then just swap 2 of the wires and it will be wired correctly.

yeah, I miscalculated a bit Though to be honest that motor was on its last leg. I'd had it in 3 planes, over 60 flights, and had it apart a handful of times to straighten the shaft

Went to the LHS today and picked up a Common Sense E5-M-11 900Kv, says it will give 28oz of thrust, 32mph for a 16oz plane swinging an APC 9x6 E.

Should be an eventful flight today lol

I added scallops to the horizontal stab and called it a job well done. I went out shopping with my wife and ended up at Hobby Lobby. While she was looking at the home decor stuff, I found my way back to the rear of the store and found a new project
They had a 25" glider for $3.99 that I just couldn't pass up. I have a 16g brushless motor that's been screaming for a home and I think I may have found a place for it. Well, on to the next build.

Oh man! Thats the model of glider I've been looking for for about a month! Hobby Lobby you say? You know I've never tried there for gliders, I think there's one on the way to my work! looking to pick up a hot wire cutter anyways.

I went with paint on this one, the next one I will try my hand at covering. I took it out today for a flight with an 8x6 prop just to let the motor do its thing without taxing it too bad, and it was a little anemic, but it flew. Paint adds weight I guess - I gotta dig up a scale and see exactly how much this thing weighs now.

Well, I've geen spending so much time building the past few weeks that I'm falling behind in my duties here at the house. I'm gonna have to take a break from my planes at least for at least a few days so my wife doesn't divorce me
I will post my progress once I get some chores done. Murray

Well, I've got a pretty good start on the new conversion. I glued the two wing halves together and added a cf spar running wingtip to wingtip. I've got the two booms glued in also. I then spackled and sanded the wing smooth. I've also started on the fuselage and just need to add some formers to the rear section and cut and shape the rear of it. Here is what I've got so far. Forcast calls for wind and rain because of hurricane Hanna so I should have some more time this weekend to work on this.

Well, here is what I finally ended up with. She flys like on rails, but whenever I slow her down she likes to spiral into the ground. I'm trying to figure out what the problem is because she sure does look good in the air!

I think it's called tip stall...

Adding washout to the wing tips should help.

Yeah, add some NACA droops. Looks great Flatus, And you sure do have a quick turnaround. I am still working on my next project, trying to take it slow and get everything right.

What motors are you using, if I might ask? I ordered a 2408-18T
from HeadsUpRc because I didn't wanna wait a month for hobbycity... looks like you are using similar motors, no?

Short video of how my other chuck is flying thesedays... or isn't. I love EPS, it is so easy to repair!

It turns out the wing loading on my boomer was too high which is why I had to fly it fast to keep it in the air. I decided to add a second wing and make it a bipe to increase the wing area. I will try to maiden it today and give a flight report later.
