Default Are UAV's Legal?

Hello All,
Since I mentioned Unmanned Aerial Vehicles on my opening post, it's important to note that they may be flown only under certain conditions and guidelines. There is at least one website dedicated to UAV's, here;
http://diydrones.com/
And Federal guidelines here;
http://www.faa.gov/aircraft/air_cert...approvals/uas/
UAV Links from RCG; http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=358497
"Let's be careful out there!"

UAV is a broad term. A parkzone plane is technically a UAV. Having a plane flying from waypoint to waypoint is a technical achievement, and nowadays it aint all that hard with the aid of GPS.

As technology gains speed and prices go down, I bet in ten years we see alot of this for the common hobby person.

good thread and it is up to a good discussion.
