I fly the Stryker when I go to my brother's house, because he has huge pastures. I fly the aeroace here at home because it's capable. Now, what I'm looking for is something of a mixture of the 2. I want to be able to do the rolls, loops, etc of the Stryker, but at a MUCH slower speed and in a backyard/frontyard. Basically about what the aeroace would require plus a little more. I have looked and looked. Airhogs has some new funky aerobatic plane thing now, but it's just too weird for my tastes. And it looks to be indoor only. I found 1 plane that looks extremely suitable for me, that I could use some opinions on. http://www.speedwing.net/mini-speedwing-ex-p-296.html But it's around $300 for the brushless RTF version. If that's about the only thing that will suit my needs, then I'll just have to caught up the money for it. But I'd rather something cheaper. I do not want an ARF for sure. I do not own a "real" radio, nor have the space, time or knowledge to assemble one. I look forward to your suggetions. Thanks in advance.

How about a Superfly or Superflea from http://www.superflyrc.com ? They are both fun planes that are EPP and very versatile. Speedwing makes some great planes too.

Hi vhayne
Try this: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=836389 The NutBall is somewhat staggering! I ran up a 17" one for a 10gm outrunner I had handy, in one night. It only uses two servos, rudder and elevator, plus motor control, so a basic radio will do fine. It has also been built in sizes from around 12" diameter to 42" - the latter is not really a small space model though. I fly mine out in the street in front of our house, with no problems. It has a wide speed range - from about stopped to fast enough for the space I'm flying in. It can also handle a little breeze - its test flights were done at our regular club site with maybe 4 - 5MPH and it didn't seem to mind. It would be hard to build anything cheaper or simpler! I had never built a Depron model until this one, though I had a box of the stuff in my shop, and it was so easy to build. Hope that helps Dereck |

Thanks guys!
I really like the SuperFly Hyperflea. I watched the video and it definatley has the "Stryker way" about it, however, the speed kindof worries me a bit. It appears to be able to fly at pretty low speeds, but it also seemed to need to be against the wind for that to work. Oh believe me though, I'd love to be just doddling around the yard, then all of a sudden go into a full throttle vertical! lol. I just don't think I have that much room to work with. I'd have to bring it back down in a relatively small area, as there are trees on each side of my yard, not to mention neighbor's houses. The demo vid of the speedwing shows flying in a very small area, with trees all around, and even at the slow speeds able to perform aerobatics. I worry though if it's not just the guys flying skills making it perform like that. I can do all that stuff with my stryker, but I'm way up in the air, not 3ft off the ground lol. I will definatly do more research on the superfly though for sure. Thanks. As for the NutBall....I thank you for the suggestion. However, it's a bit funky looking for me hehe. But I'm sure it's still a great plane.
