We're actually going down there today for Mother's Day. I don't know if we'll have time to spare before it gets too late, but I'll give you a call if we do.

I haven't started yet. I'm leaving for Texas on Sunday for a week, and I've been trying to finish my Big Bee so I can take it with me.
When I get back I'll be building one. Maybe two. |

May 18,2009 Combat Update
We had 7 combat flyers show up at the AMA today for 10 rounds of heavy combating.I think we only lost a couple of planes today. But we had a lot of gluing between rounds just to keep things going most of the day. The weather was good to us with sunshine and a little breeze now and then. The scores are as follows; Deadmeat-40 points Buzzy-40 points Wildthing-30 points Pappy-30 points Lucky-30 points Widowmaker-20 points Skywalk-20 points Overall it was a nice day to get everyone together again to do what we do best and that is try to cut some streamers.Next contest Thursday evening at site #4.For now watch your six. I pulled in to the AMA around 3:00 in the afternoon and Lucky was already setup waiting for some combat action for the evening.A few minutes later rest of the guys came rolling in for the same quest. We had Mark the (shaft) and Rich, a couple of new flyers just starting to fly combat with our group also. We got 10 rounds in with alot of foam and planes floating down to mother earth. Sorry guys I didn't bring my camera or we would of have a lot of photos taken. We talked about in July and August when we can't fly at the AMA and decide to fly at Dunkirk on Monday morning and Thursday evenings those days.I'm going to schedule combat for next Thursday evening the 28th. at the AMA in the since we had a large group last night flying. Widowmaker did get his heli trimmed out pretty good after the wind laid a little. The scores are as follow for last night combat. Buzzy-40 points Widowmaker-30 points Skyhawk-30 points Lucky-10 points Paul-10 points Rich-10 points Electric Doug-10 points Mark the Shaft-10 points For now watch your six. Buzzy

Lucky,Widowmaker,Carl and Buzzy showed up to do some rounds of combat last night. It got very windy and cool as the evening went on.We got 6 rounds in with Lucky and Widwomaker making contact in almost every round. The last round we flew Lucky's motor departed
from his plane which we never did find after looking for quite a while for it.Must of loosen from one for the love taps he and Widowmaker had in a previous round.Mark came by on the way home from work with his heli he's putting together and asked some questions about the set up.Ike and I put a battery pack though our helis also. The scores are as follows: Widowmaker-20 points Buzzy-20 points Lucky-10 points Next combat will be June Saturday the 6th at Hagerstown. Buzzy, did you glue the CF to the leading edge, or just use the tape to hold it in place. Also, my CF tube is a few inches shorter than the leading edge, but I don't think that will be a problem if I center it.

Love your F&F Andy, looks great.
I was just poking my nose around the ww2ecombat Yahoo group. Maybe I am just too used to how the forums work but I can't figure out the format there to save my life :o. I was trying to find plans to download of the F&F plans but can't find them. Can some one provide a link? |

We've shot up a few of my planes with a paint ball gun after flying combat. I've never gone out to the paint ball places to shoot at each other but it sounds like fun. If you don't know, a paint ball will punch a hole clean through the FFF and it is hilarious. It ruins the plane and I did kill a receiver once but man is it funny.

Buzzy,
I swear I didn't break your motor. But it just stutters and doesn't want to spin. I put a different motor on it and it works fine, so it's not the esc. I don't understand HobbyKing's shipping tracking thing, all I know is my motor has shipped. I can probably make it down to Muncie on the 18th, by 6pm or so, if you guys will be out there. Or I can stop by your house and return your patterns and plane. Maybe I can buy an extra motor from one of you guys. |

Andy that might of been one of my loaner motors.LOL We'll be at site 4 at the AMA on Thursday evening to do some combat.Site 4 is clear in the back of the AMA. When you pull in just turn right at the first road and drive as far as you can see. I'll be in my white van. We'll have a motor for you. What connectors have you got on your speed control? I'll email my cell phone # to you.

I have the tiny bullet connectors or whatever they're called. They fit your 'loaner' motor perfectly. You can see them in my pictures a few posts up. I should be able to make it Thursday, but I won't be there until around 6, as I work until 4:30. Maybe I could leave early, the boss is away this week.
