My plane is done, test flying it tomorrow night. What times specifically are you planning the combat? I'll be down there Friday evening and I'm thinking about camping so I can be there all day Saturday. I plan on bringing as many electric planes as I can fit in my Jeep.
F&F Combat rig, Bug, Big Lazy Bee, F-117, F-16, GWS Corsair, Slow Stick. |

Mike and I got my awning put up at last years site this evening. I have 2 box fans and 2 extension cords we can run from his generator to the fans.
I will also have 30 some bottles of water on ice and 2 water melons on ice also for us. Sandy said one of the girls from the AMA will be grilling food. Hope to get at least 20 rounds plus in tomorrow of combat so bring some spares.![]() Buzzy |

All I can say it was hot,hot and hot some more. I can't believe out in an open field with a breeze blowing under a awning with 2 fans blowing it could be so
hot.Anyhoo we got 13 rounds in of combat with lots of water and a iced down watermelon. We had 5 new flyers that tried their best at cutting some streamers and they all had success doing so.We had several midairs which were all repairable. Here's the scores of todays combat shorties.Buzzy-80 points Mark-40 points Lucky-40 points Roger-20 points Brad-10 points Andy-10 points Deadmeat-10 points WildThing-0 points Tommy-0 points Buzzy |

Yay I got 10 points!
Buzzy, after you left, I did an 'unofficial' combat sortie with the guys still there. Figures, I got my first cut on him! Then a minute later he cut me. I had a blast, I like combat now. Andy |

Take care Buzzy and enjoy your vacation.
The way things are going around here I don't think it will be long until there will be enough guys with planes going to have 10+ sorties in one day . I think getting involved with a local club is all I needed, combat is spreading like wild fire now .

I haven't checked out the vids yet but the pics are awesome
. I love the pic of the streamer getting cut, talk about perfect timing. If it is ok I am going to use some of those pics in my flyers and post to help generate interest, they are too good not to share.

I arrived at the flying site around 8:30 and Electric Doug was already getting set up for some combat shorties. Pappy and Lucky rolled in a little bit later so we ended up with 4 flyers most of the day. Electric Doug and I got in several flights with our Radiants during the day. I also got in 2 battery packs with my Blade 400-3D. We flew a total of 10 rounds with alot of props being remove do to some love taps. Thanks Pappy for the shade it helped as the sun got higher in the afternoon.
The scores are as follows: Electric Doug-40 points ![]() Pappy-20 points Buzzy-20 points Lucky-10 points For now take care and watch your six. Buzzy |

Combat update 8-1-2009
We flew 8 Fast & Furious rounds of combat at Hagerstown today with only 3 or 4 plane lost do to midairs. In a couple of the rounds we had a total of 9 flyers trying to cut streamers or trying not to get cut. We had Dennis and his son flying the F&F planes for the first time and also Gary getting into the action with a couple of rounds.Dennis has 2 sons which I'm sure we will be seeing alot from them in the future. Thanks Carl for being the grill master today and supplying the goodies along with everyone else that supplied the lunch. We also got alot of hanger flying in with some heli flights by Willis and Ike giving us a good show. I even got in a 40 miunte flight with my Radiant. The scores are as follows: Widowmaker-60 points (ACE FOR THE DAY) and still flying a WWII plane.Buzzy-50 points Skyhawk-40 points Lucky-40 points Willis-20 points Paul-10 points Dennis-10 points Mark-0 points Gary- 0 points We will be flying at Dunkirk Monday morning the 10th and Thursday evening the 20th. For now watch your six, because somebody else will be. Buzzy |

Sounds like you guys had a lot of fun. We had some really good rounds of combat today. We're still not quite as organized as you guys but it's coming along nicely, we're really starting to get a good core group of flyers.

Ok here is flight #1, and #2. I like it! Looks like a hawk when it's up high.
![]() I did modify it a little. I widened the inside of the ailerons by a half inch, and widened the elevator, also by a half inch. I also streched out the vertical stab by one and a half inches. It tracks very straight, but I my cut 1" off the hieght of the vertical stab, in hopes of increasing roll rate. what do you think.

It looks very good, and I also liked the way you were wringing it out with the back ground music.Yes by cutting down the fin will help on the roll. I think Lucky's fin is only about 1 1/2 inches tall. Glad you like the F&F plane nows the time to put some streamers on the leading edge from others planes.LOL

August 13,2009 Update
I arrived at Dunkirk around 2:00 in the afternoon a little later Bill came in and flew his Kadet which we had to dig out of a tree down the road aways. Another story for later.I put my Radiant up for a 45 minute ride with just 2 power ups made.Pat came in and also flew it for 45 minute with just 1 power up, which would have lasted longer but we had some combat to take care of. Doug also flew his a couple of times and Mark got some hovering a some forward flight in on his heli.Back to combat now. We had 5 flyers show up to do some combat shorties. We got 5 rounds in with no planes making the 5 mintues on the last round. We had some love taps and pilots flying the wrong plane a couple of times which means more glue sticks will be used.We had to shut down early because we had 3 flyers on buddy cords flying on the field also.Did give 2 flyers from Hartford City a print for the F&F after he flew one of mine. The scores are as follows: Doug-30 points (ACE FOR THE DAY)Pat-20 points Dale-20 points Mark-10 points Danny-10 points So for now watch your six. Buzzy |
