For those of you not there this morning, I hate you missed my landing clinic. Maybe I can put on another one once I get this thing fixed back up.

Cool! At one time I really was into seeing how high I could go so got a "How High" altimeter so I could check for sure. I did a lot of high flying then and got a pretty good feel of the altitude from the video I caught. I'd agree that's about 1100-1200 feet. It's WAY up there. How big is that wing? My problem with my modified slow stick "Timex" was just being able to SEE the darned thing up there!
Cool video! My eyes aren't all that good anyways anymore so don't fly up that high all that much. Here's a little video I got with my EasyStar at River West in HD today though... Was nice, easy wind today over here on the west side of town. |

Love that high flyin Scott, that wing sure flies good. Got my nephews Swft built and maidened it yesterday while in Okc, of course you can tell he's related to me. Handed him the transmitter and he nosed her in within minutes. But, like I told him you gotta love EPP glued the motor munt back on ready to go. Just knocked the mount off. Anyway he's got something to fly now, he also built a blucor swift like yours just looks better. He did a really good job on it. |

Anybody on here heard of a curved leading edge wing called an Elliptistick or something like that? Matt has one hanging in his shop he was supposed to sell for a guy he used to know, but the guy was killed in a car wreck or something. He told me the above name but I can't find anything on it on line.
Found it, it is an Ellipstick, out of production I guess from what little I can read about them on rc groups. |

If anyone would like I'm going to open the warehouse up Thursday night to fly. Bring your stuff, or just come hang out
but come on out. Hope to see you around 6pm.

I was out flying my Stryker at a field I call "Unclub 2" (71st and County Line Road, just next to Lowe's), and a man stopped to ask me questions. He turned out to be a hang glider pilot who had tried flying RC several years ago, and gave up in frustration. We exchanged information, and I realized I worked across the street from his office for 13 years! When I told him I used to fly in the field right outside his office, he said, "Yeah, now that you mention it, I think we talked at that field several years ago!"
Small world, eh?

Thanks Ed for hosting the indoor at the warehouse again. Since I broke everything I brought, I consider that a good night.

Here are a few pics of my charger box. The case was purchased at Harbor Freight for $10. The black 3mm EPP I had laying around. Now I just need to figure out how to use the charger
. I need to sell my Triton and then I am sure I will figure it out real quick. |
