you just might do it I bought a paper delta jet from Mike, another wattflyer and Ebayer, he sells them online, and i am going to try to make that go 100 MPH it will have to be made a little stronger, but i think it will work, they are made from Paper Cardstock, that should be fun, Take care, Chellie

o that is wicked, hmm im assuming you will have to place carbon rods allover this plane to prevent bending??
also how is the weight of the planes? are the wings flat or do they have airfoil ? wicked project

neet Huh, its different ok, I am working with Mike, we will be doing 2 build threads, one will be a delta, and the other a SR71, the delta I bought from Mike to get some experience with building paper jets, i will have to make some foam ribs for the wing, Mike had the wing braced with a wood dowel, but i will use CF where needed, i will be spraying the paper with miniWax poly, just a lite coat, that will turn the paper into fiberglass almost, wish me luck, Chellie

the wings have a airfoil, i am not sure on the weight, Mike has a 5ft delta, with servos and battery that weighs 24oz, no motor, as its a glider

Littlephoenix...my only suggestion for the very first video is that you leave the first pix up for a few seconds longer. While trying to read the data on the plane... I was cut short on time. RG

yes your right, but you can always pause the video and read

I know this is an older thread but I just picked up one of these and plan to do a similar conversion only not nearly as fast. I want it to be able to go high, shut her down, let the prop fold, and just cruise around. On the other hand, I also want to be able to open it up if I so choose. I know that these little boogers can dissappear real fast with a hot setup so I am going tame. Let me know what you think of the following setup:

2s 800-900 Lipo
18 am ESC (from a Gaui 200)
Micro servos (from a Gaui 200)
Graupner 6x3 folding cam prop
Spektrum AR6100 Rx

Again, I am just looking for a relaxing little cruiser to keep in my car and possibly use between heli flights.

everythign seems ok, only advice i can give you is, your lipo is to heavy, try 400mah or 350mah, much lighter, also i have built 2 of these little guys and every time i pull elevator hard, the plane goes out of control, so what you want to do is make the entire horizontal stab the elevator just like the multiplex merlin, hope that helps.

Remember, these are 2 cell lipos BUT if they are still too heavy, I have some 600mah packs also. These were used in a Gaui 200 helicopter so they aren't that heavy. They are similar to these:

remember, every gram counts, 600mah is also to heavy, not saying it will not fly, but if you want to glide as you mentioned, keep it light weight, 350Mah 2 sell would be optimal, i flew my fox for 15 minutes with a 359mAh lipo
