Default Wattflyer Scratchbuild Contest #3

Wattflyer Scratchbuild Contest #3

*Contest begins May 16th and ends June 29th

*All you need to do to enter is start a build thread and have your project complete before the end date. A project is complete after pics and/or video have been provided of the model in flight.

*Plane can be anything from any material. No kits or ARF's allowed. Building from plans is ok as long as you are making all the pieces yourself.

*Should there be a tie for first or second place there will be a 5 day runoff poll between the entries involved to find our winner.

*First place will receive the Scratchbuild icon in their awards showcase plus Wattflyer decals. Second place will receive decals only.

I reckon I'll toss my name into the hat. I have a couple of designs that I'm planning on building. I started cutting foam tonight for one of them so I guess I may as well put that one in first!

The only down side is now I've got to clean up my work area if I'm going to be taking pictures. I doubt the better half will complain if I do.

A clean work space is a sign of a sick mind . I try to keep my area clean but it rarely stays that way for long.

I'm going to wait before I unveil the plane and build log.

This timing is perfect for my project. I'll enter and build the Polaris And since Steve Shumates build instructions are so good I feel like I'm cheating. I'll make 2 one for me and one for S.K.

I'm working on a couple....whether or not they'll be done in time, I can't say...but I am working on them.

Lavochkin LA-7 and Bf-109.

Do we have to post the thread as it goes, or can we wait till it's all together and post everything in one fell swoop??

What ever floats your boat . And don't worry about not finishing, I entered contest #2 and ran out of time and motivation...it happens.

Well. My first plane is going to take a lot more designing than I though ):
I have no clue how to do it in AUtoCAD so it looks like if I'm going to do it I'll have to cut paper and do it the hard way.

So I'll throw together a weekend build. I'll be done by tomorrow q:

Smokejohnson is it to late to get in on this build. If not put me down for a mini telemaster out foam, building from plans that I have. My son talked me into it 3 weeks left right.
