The HXT900 is 2X more power hungry than the HS-55. The Turnigy are 2X more power hungry than THAT. Kiss you BEC goodbye.

That site cracks me up. The reviews can be entertaining as well as enlightening!

I think they've been out, what, 2-3 months?
Should anyone care there is a LONG thread on exactly this subject on RCGroups. There is a video showing EXACTLY how uneconomical these servos are with your watts. Spectrum users > BROWN OUT, AND BEYOND!!! |

I've hear of .5-.6amps stalled per hxt900/tp90.... that's 2-2.4amps for 4 of them (most of us use a 3amp switching bec) so it should be within limits...
comparisons for hxt900's should really be done against servos with similar spec ratings... like hs65's... anyone know what hs65's draw? SK |

I have had bad luck with the gears stripping in the TG9's,not so with the HXT-900's,and they're worth the extra buck, gears are much smoother than the TG-9. JMHO

I have also Seen that the gears seem to be Weaker and less precise... than the hxt900's, I haven't opened one up yet though to see what the gears are made out of....

I put three of them in my Lang yu(or whatever the name is) AT-6. I haven't flow it yet because of the weather. They are centering fine, quiet, and strong enough for the plane. No growling. I saw where HK as in the description that they are not long lived??? They seem fine to me, so far!
