(Don if you think this should go in the indoor section, please move. I just wasn't sure.) Today, I got to fly in a new location. The CrossTown Church of Christ at Admiral & Harvard. I've been talking to my friend Tom Dalman, (the youth minister), for a few months about getting us in there to fly a few times each month. Today, it all came together. Today I went to the church early, and flew for a while, to show Tom what it is that we do. I flew for an hour or so, then I took Tom out to lunch, to thank him for his efforts. The Deal: Tom is giving me a key to the church We can use it whenever we want, as long as it's not being used. I just need to call the office ahead of time to reserve the date. Oh, did I mention, that this is a basketball court. I think it's full size, but not sure. It's nice.I thought we would try to use it twice a month, once on a Thursday 6-9pm., and once on a Saturday 4-8pm. This should give everyone, a chance to make it. Watch this thread for fly dates for all venues, I will also notify Matt, at Model Works. The first fly date, is set. Thursday February 11th. 6-9pm. See You there. |

Today I flew at Crosstown. I flew the new micro 4-Site, the micro Mustang, and my new Slow28.
4-Site, I love this plane! Flew great, you could fly this plane in a broom closet. Mustang, Indoors, this plane seems a whole lot faster. There is room, but the walls close in quick. I think you would need to be flying alone to fly this one, cause you won't have time to watch for air traffic. Slowfly 28, perfect indoors hovers all day with little effort. I'm still getting used to the flimsyness of the EPP. I did hit a table with it, that I was too lazy to move before flying, and broke off the nose. I'ts fixed now, so I'm good to go. Next Thursday I'll try the Tensor, the Bug, and The micro F-22. You all have fun at the Rosebowl Sun. I'm not going to make it. I have a Super Bowl party to get ready for. |

Cool Brett thank you for taking the time to get us another venue to fly indoors.
Some towns don't have even one place to fly indoors and like James said we now have three, I for one am really excited and again say how much I and my fellow indoor junkies appreciate these opportunities.

Hey I second third and fourth all those statements if I can. Sounds good.
I've been wondering where everyone was tonite, been working on some masks to paint Skips new Firefly with. I don't know how good it's a gonna look but I hope it doesn't make him throw up when I get finished. Had to hand draw the flames that I'm gonna use and I am not the worlds greatest at freehanding anything as you know if you've seen me fly. |

Jack if you could, bring a video camera with you. I would like to get some video of the new indoor venue. There is a balcony that is open above the basketball court, that would be a good place to shoot video from.
Thanks. |

Glad you guys have a choice of places to fly. If you are really interested in micro flight, you need to subscribe to this online magazine, RC Micro World Online Magazine.
They have really nice plans every month or so, lots by Bob Aberle, who designs great indoor models. You can look at a free issue of the magazine if you wish. Also the best place in the world for small airplane parts in just up the road in Joplin, BSD Micro RC. Bob Selman owns the shop and is a great guy who will help you with anything. He stands behind what he sells. |

Thanks for the link Jim, I have heard you talk about Micro World before. I will check it out.
Bob was at the Rose Bowl on New Year's Day. He does have a lot of really neat looking planes. I know if he would have brought some kits with him to sell at least 3 of us would have bought some that day. I like the looks of the new UM Cub and at $90 BNF it seems like a really good deal. |

Don't have anything other than the hatcam that is working right now I'll get the panasonic out and see if I can get it going again. My brother is giving me a good still camera though that may have a video mode also.

If you any of you do feel like you need to bring items to make repairs, it's OK. You just need to bring a piece of cardboard or something to glue on. |

My camera is a few years old and not HD. So that would be awesome.
So what's the info for tomorrow? Or have I missed the address (I have no idea where the rose bowl is but I will google it), cost, times, and anything else we need to know. |

Rose Bowl is on 11th street, between memorial and sheridan, on the north side of the street. Not sure on the cost, I think it's $5 or $10. Not sure on the time. I would assume 1-4. There was a post on the Unclub thread that listed times, and prices, but not sure where, probably 3 or 4 pages back.
