Default Old Phil Kraft Das Ugly Stik Advise

I just acquired several old R/C Airplanes. I need some advise as to value and/or what I should ask for them. I will start with 2 Phil Kraft Das Ugly Stik planes. One is still sealed and never opened. The other has been opened but never removed from the box. One of the photos shows the tape never been broken. Another is a large set of instructions. I am interested in selling these, but know almost nothing about them. Any advise as to value would be appreciated.

The large set of plans probably go with the opened box. What plane do the plans say they are for?

It is really hard to say what old kits are worth. They might be valuable to one person and worthless to another. The best way to determine their value is to place them in the proper area on Ebay. You could offer them for sale here in the For Sale Forum and see what someone would offer for them.

Yeah I agree, One might offer $10 while someone who loves old kits might offer 450, just never know. Ebay would be the best bet just make sure they pay shipping or you have a at least so much price so you don't get nothing out of it.

Default Sounds About Right!

Hello Smyrnagator, Welcome to Wattflyer!
There is an online site with classic kit prices, I've used it a few times when buying on E-Bay. The prices seem to be in line with what folks end up paying, although some kits don't go as high as the highest range.
http://webpages.charter.net/skylane42/price.html
Scroll about 1/2 way down the page, to "Jensen".
According to this list, the range for a Jensen Das Ugly Stik is $76.00 to $212.00.
Hope this helps!
Ron

Since I'm not a collector, unless you ask my wife, what's the price on the opened kit going to be?

Bad news, ssrobzoom, the original post was made over three years ago, so I doubt they are still available. The original poster has not even been on line since 4-3-2010.
