Indoor Flying in Fort Worth, TX

Hello all. I've been given permission for us to fly at the gym in the school I work at. Generally it will be on Saturday from 5pm till 10pm. This thread will be the place to go to get location information as well as flying times/dates.

The address is 1001 E. Bailey Boswell Road Fort Worth, TX 76131. It's basically at the corner of Blue Mound Road (156) and E. Bailey Boswell Road.

This site is a DOUBLE court gym with a very high ceiling. AMA is required, and there is a $5 landing fee. 100% of which goes to the school. No alcohol or tobacco is allowed on campus.

Let me repeat we have TWO HUGE SEPARATE GYMS connected in the middle by a huge double door! So we should be able to get a ton of flying done. We don't have tables like we did at TCA, but I'm working on it. We do have chairs though.

Well, it's about 8.7 miles away, and if your going back to Weatherford it's on the way!

Red, this is indoor flying, not a 3D Hobbies FLI. I have doubts that these folks eat like they do at a FLI.

Going to have to come try the facilities in Nov.

Birdie, I know you can crash anything, but this gym is pretty big so you will have to TRY and crash stuff.

I really need to put faces with people's usernames and I don't really know what FLI stands for either? But I can hold my own at Logans.

The Logan's that OUR waitress works at now is the one in Hurst on 820E just North of Pipeline by NE Mall ( if she said the real one) . I have a girls Volleyball game that I promised to attend tonight, so I won't get to come, but you guys call me and I'll come meet and eat !!

Ricky, I am not a 3D flier either, more like a 3/4 flier, but I like to watch them. My take offs can be ok or ground loops and the only thing about my landings is that I don't have a choice, they are going to happen one way or another. I do have a couple of 3D capable planes that I want to fly, but have to get things under control first.

This is great! I will be doing exhibition nitro flights at Mountainview College all during the day as they celebrate their 40th anniverssary. If we shut down soon enough I might be able to get over and fly with you guys. I am definately getting this location on my calendar.

We are NOT flying this week (October 23) or next week (October 30). I have a golf tournament this weekend, and Halloween stuff the next. I'll try and get us in the gym on November 6th. I hope everyone can come out.

Listen here birdy! The tournament was on Friday (thank goodness it didn't rain then) and we shot 15 under (18 under won it). Since I was gone all day Friday, I had to do family stuff on Saturday.

We're still NOT flying next weekend October 30th, but will probably fly next on November 6th. As soon as I'm certain, I'll post it.
