New doppler speedometer application for windows and android!

I purchased this app the other day for my new Dell Streak 7" tablet. Tried it out on some videos that had been previously dopplered, and it works great!

I just searched the Andriod market and found it easily, then had it downloaded and running in just a few minutes.

I'm running a Samsung Captivate (Galaxy S phone)
It is rooted and running Froyo based ROM.

One thing that has helped some people is clearing the data cache for the market:
1) Go to home screen
2) Go to Settings->Applications->Manage Applications->All->Market
3) Click "Clear Data"

That's completely harmless, so it's worth a try.

Hey guys, so the update got approved last night and it's finally out! RCSpeedo for the iPhone/iPod is identical to the Android version. The iPhone 4, iPod Gen 4, iPhone 3GS and iPhone 3 all support it, as long as they are running iOS 4 or greater. Apple requires apps to follow strict pricing tiers, so it's priced at $3.99, $.50 higher than the Android version. This will likely change in the coming weeks, more news on that below.

So what now? Well I'm hard at work getting this app to work on more planes! My goal is more consistent/accurate readings for the quick/quiet EDFs out there and more support for pylon racers, which for whatever reason are very hard on this app. When this update comes out in the coming weeks, I'll likely be bumping up the Android version's price to match the iPhone. So if you want to save $.50, grab it while you can!

During my flight for passes, a commercial airliner took off, so those passes didnt count, then the SDPD Heli flew by, those didnt take either, then some dude on an open pipe harley rode by... aside for urban noise, when it was quiet, it got all my passes without problem.

Got a chance to try it out today and I could not make it work. I don't know why but it wouldn't pick up anything. Nothing, nada, zip. Stuffed the F2G and the 8Ball trying to get close enough to get a reading. The 8Ball is fixable, the F2G 'prolly not. She hit at a really high speed. Both my fault, but I'm done with this app for now.

Are you trying to speedo prop planes or EDFs? Right now he says it only works for EDF (or pusher prop). Anything that's high RPM.

I was able to clock my Omei 'warmliner' powered glider with it, 78.7 mph on a flyby.

Big folding prop.

try different settings and make sure its QUIET, I had to keep the guys quiet around me by sushing them a couple times.

I purchased this for my HTC eris. Obviously not the best hardware for this app, maybe why It wont work. I hit the "start listening" button and nothing happens. I have tried it live in the field and on recordings, it just sits there. Any thoughts?

Hey guys newby here been lurking for ages just not a big forum poster. Anyway I saw this forum and downloaded the app for my iPhone and just for kicks since the weather has been so bad I decided to try it out with my sim and it worked great! The speed was only a few miles an hour off what the sim said it was when I did flybys with the Habu jet and the parkzone P-47 foamy plane!! Can't wait to try it out with my real RC P-47 and a few others. Anyway thanks for a sweet lil' pc. of software!

I like this RC Speedo app so much I paid for a second installation to my new phone ... Android .. relegating my old Android to app's use only.

But I have noticed a niggle .... often after running a speed check ... I touch STOP LISTENING ... phone appears to be OK - but is actually locked up. I restart phone and all is ok again. Other times phone is fine but RC Speedo will not run a second test ... needs shutting down and restarting.

Phone is Samsung Ace II ... new .....
