One of the key features to this mount is that it utilizes the stock plastic mount as a buffer zone in the event of a crash. The very inexpensive and easily replaceable stock plastic mount should take the impact instead of damaging the planes fuselage. No cowl modifications are necessary for the 3530 and 3536 series of motors, simply bolt on and you are ready to fly. Three step installation (detailed pictures below): 1. Attach new motor to aluminum mount with the motors supplied screws 2. Attach Parkzone stock plastic mount using the original motor screws 3. Attach entire assembly to the planes fuselage with the original mounting screwsFor proper cowl to propeller clearance on the 3530 and 3536 motors that utilize the bolt on propeller shaft you will use the supplied prop spacer plus the flat washer that comes with the new motor as shown in the pictures below. If using a standard motor shaft, or pressing the shaft forward on the motors utilizing a bolt on shaft, a standard collet adapter will work. The stock Corsair / T28 spinner nut will typically work to give you more of a scale look if desired. Please note, with the T-28 if using the bolt on propeller shaft style motor you will need to either press the motor shaft forward and use a standard collet (the stock one works great), or slightly enlarge the cowl opening to use the bolt on propeller shaft. Compatible Motors (3530 Series): Turnigy 35-30C 1100KV (and other KV options) Heads Up RC 3530-11 RC Timer BC3530-14 1100KV and others in the 3530 series with the 19mm x 25mm bolt pattern Compatible Motors (3536 series): Turnigy 35-36C 1100KV (and other KV options) Heads Up RC 3536-10 Exceed RC Alpha 480 1020KV RC Timer BC3536-6 1250KV and others in the 3536 series with the 19mm x 25mm bolt patternFor those that want an extreme upgrade in performance, choose one of the 3542 series motors . The cowl will need to be modified to accommodate these larger motors by slightly enlarging the front opening. The included propeller spacer may or may not be needed depending on which propeller is chosen. Please note that these 3542 motors may exceed the capability of the planes airframe. Special care should be taken when flying at the extreme speeds these planes will be capable of. Compatible Motors (3542 series): Turnigy 35-42C 1100KV (and other KV options) Heads Up RC 3542-10 Exceed RC Monster Power 10 1100KV RC Timer BC3542-6 1000KV and others in the 3542 series with the 19mm x 25mm bolt pattern Propeller Compatibility: Stock 2 blade T28 / Corsair 9.5x7.5 Stock 3 blade T28 / Corsair 9x7.5 Stock 2 blade P51 9x6 MAS 10x7x3 There are quite a few other options and will continue updating the list as they are tested The fit and quality of these mounts are excellent. These are manufactured by smallpartsCNC which I own and operate. To reduce cost, these come in bare aluminum as shown in the photos. Included: 1 Parkzone Corsair / T-28 Aluminum Motor Mount. with propeller spacer. Weight: 7g (3530) and 5g (3536/42)Price is $14.00 ea. with a fixed shipping of $2.00 in the US and $4.00 International. Send me a PM if you are interested or have any other questions. Thanks for looking! Terry |

Do you accept Paypal?
Hello Terry! I am building a scratch foamie (DHC Beaver) and was wondering if I could make one of these motor mounts work for me. I was going to mount the motor directly to the plastic mount, then to a plywood firewall. (Absent on this picture, but it is fastened to the foam from with epoxy. I notice Parkzone has a plastic firewall backer that their motor mount is screwed into. Ideas? |

Hi chinaclipper,
Model looks very nice. As far as the mount, you could purchase the Corsair / T28 stock plastic mount (sell for around $3.00 everywhere), and bolt the aluminum adapter and new motor onto it. That whole assembly would then mount right onto your firewall. This may be what you already had in mind. Should be nice and solid on your plywood firewall. The plastic backer that Parkzone uses is typically part of the fuselage. I don't think you can purchase it separately. Yes I do accept paypal, I'll send you a PM. Thanks, Terry |
