Default DX-220 micro sailplane

I searched and can't find any threads on this little cutie. One guy on RcGroups has gotten his and likes it a lot. It was too adorable for me to resist ordering, despite my wife's moratorium on new airplanes.

24" wingspan
26g AUW

Ready to fly at $39.90 with free shipping.

It's only a 2-channel: rudder and throttle only, so pitch/altitude is controlled via the throttle, but still ...

Watch the maximum range of a couple hundred meters, but the reports were that it flies well. A couple of people are intending to do a conversion to three or four channel with Spektrum transplants. Nobody seems to know whether the brick will fit yet, though. Could be interesting, but of course that puts the plane in the $100.00 range. Would be worth it if the plane really flies good enough.

Why doesn't Parkzone just do a mini-Radian?

My neighbor got one of these, and tows it up on a handline. Darn thing climbs like crazy with no elev. Once off the tow, he powers it when needed. It really looks good in the air. Signal check was 150 yards before she fluttered the rudder. Not sure what ground to air is. I ordered one for a christmas stocking stuffer...."for myself" DOL!!!

At my age, I doubt I could see the silly little thing much farther away than that.
