Default E-flite Blade mSR: A Diary of A Helo Noob

Day 1.
I got a BNF E-flite Blade mSR, a DX6i, a Tenergy charger, and three Tenergy 130mAh batteries from Hobbyzone.

Day 2.
I watched many youtube video clips. Read the manuals. I was able to hold the bird in the air for some ten to fifteen seconds or less

Day 3.
After two days of trimming and experimenting, I could hover through three whole packs

(to be continued).

Day 5.

Hello Hank!
Thanks!

12 packs for today So much fun
Practiced hovering 1 - 1.5 feet off the ground, played "Marines Deploy" game Man it was so addictive just like the first time behind the wheel

I don't think the big birds pilots can have the luxury to flight into a battle field right in their home

I'm gonna need some tanks and marines for the next mission

Still had one pack ready but I decided to relax the bird

Day 7.
Two hovers this morning.
I noticed the tail of the bird was wagging a little. Not much, but enough to slowly yaw the nose in either right or left direction.

Update: Twelve hovers today

You're hanger is amazing!!! You even have a Star Wars gunship I've never seen!

I don't know whether I would be addictive to this. I know that I fly more than I eat

I'm gonna make three more "missions" tonight make it a total of 12 for today
Hope the wife won't complaint

12 hovers today. Well, yesterday.

Yeah, sometimes those little packs start to fade fast..but, they are fairly cheap. Looks like you have this hover thing figured out, so if you haven't yet, try some 'nose in' hovers ( nose of the helicopter pointing at you ). That should challenge you a bit!

Hi SkiCrazy!

I spotted that weak cell few days ago. I should have talked to the vendor but, yeah, it was cheap and I was too lazy... well no time, actually. I ignored it. The flight time is now about or a bit more than half the normal cell.

Day 24.
I hovered 6 packs today. I tried "nose-in" at least twice today and I failed both
Well, no worries. I have the sim since last year somewhere
I will try it soon. A bit boring but no choice.
Continue the "nose-out" for now

Day 34.

Wow. I did not make any post during last ten days. Too busy. But I DID manage to make at least two hovers a day

Yesterday the heli started to spin right slowly. Maximum trim left help, but I definitely need to adjust the throw. I will try it in few days.

If globalization takes my job away, I am totally against it!

have you seen the mSR BNF AO offering? just the helicopter for $89.99 or so. I'm going to pickup one of these. the mcx i bought for my son is great too!

Looks like you're putting the msr to good use! I like it! So how many parts have been broken so far?

Is it just me or are the Tenergy batteries a pain to put in and get out? They are too big for the mount and some of the black ends have come unglued from my batteries.
