Question FMS Model modification

I am new to RC flying and have been flying the FMS EasyStar on it. I have since upgraded my EZ to a brushless motor and ESC and was wondering if it is possible to modify the stock EZ in FMS to more phantom my own up powered EZ. Any comments would be helpful.

Default FMS models not working!!!

I tried to download several models and then install them on FMS. They seem to load properly and then they show up when I click on the .par file in the models tab. That is as far as it goes, after that I try to take off or hand launch and the model just freezes on the screen. I did the Easy Star and that works fine but none of the new models will work. I have version 2 alpha 8. I am stumped!

You need FMS 2 Alpha 8.5 (the latest version) for most of those models...not sure if that's the one you have but I've never heard of an "Alpha 8".

Thanks Steve, I don't where the Alpha 8 came from but now that I check I have Version 2, Alpha 7.
I will download the right version.

Default FMS problems

Well post this one up to basics. I have been trying to get my Spektrum DX6i to work with FMS. I bought a usb cable from simblaster and for the life of me could not get it to work. I thought I checked everything. Found out that what I missed was the switch settings on the transmitter. Put them all to 0 and the thing works like a champ with Win7. Thanks for the help from people on the forums.
