Default Lipo Battery in Laptop ?

I've got a HP nc4010 Laptop with Lipo battery -I'd guess 11 volt about 3600 mah. Charged it used to stay working for about 1 1/2 now won't do any better than 20-30 min.-thinking about trying it on my rc battery charger .
Any one ever experimented with.

Usually it's the heat from the laptop that kills them. I don't think it will revive. Some people tell you if you are going to leave your laptop plugged in all the time to remove the battery, so it isn't damaged by the heat.

I have to agree with radialarm. Both me and the wife have HP laptops and leave them plugged in all the time. The batteries didn't last more than a year before they had 30% or less charge. HP replaced them under warranty with a little prodding and now we only plug them in to charge them and pull out the battery if it is going to be on AC power for an extended period of time.

Heat and being constantly charged kills them.
If left plugged in most of the time treat them like RC lipos. Discharge to 50%, remove, put in ziplock in the fridge. Every few months, remove, allow to warm up in ziplock, and cycle.
Repeat.
I've got a couple Dell lipos going on 8+ years. The reality is they seldom get used but not many go that long, ever.

If you're going to learn to fly them, you have to learn to fix them.
