I was thinking of buying the Great planes Fokker DVii but need some help with an engine. I have The Eflight park 450 , Eflight Park 48 and Eflight power 10. Great planes recommends the rimfire 400. http://www.electrifly.com/largeelectrics/gpma1141.html Will one of the Eflights work with the stock prop? Thanks. |

Hi Flyboy. I have been flying mine for a couple of years now. I use the Rimfire 400 because the plane was designed that motor. You can make the Eflite 450 work but the cowl may not fit correctly. I have the Eflite 450 motors but I don't understand what you mean by "stock prop".

I mean the recommended prop.
Bear with me as I am sorta new to electronics in planes. I can fly them but this will be my first ARF build.

Try the WW1 section at the bottom of the first group of threads Lots of WW1 info there. I just built an ARF Spadx111 and used motor, esc, batts etc from headsuprc in Fla lots of guys get their stuff from him. He has engine set ups on his site as well as you can email him and he will suggest ideas for you.

Tell Jeff at HeadsupR/C what you are going to build and he will recommend a motor, esc and battery combo for this airplane that will give good performance and you'll spend far less then what Great Planes would like to sell you.

Yea. I have a park 350, 480 and power 10 I can use. Just wondering if one of those will work.
I will be spending all my cash getting this one. :| So If I do not have to buy anything else I can fly sooner! Remember at my age money dose not come around often. :\

I did a search for Park 350 on Horizon, they do not list it. On the Rimfire 400 the recommended prop is a 10x4.5 On my Eflite Motors I use a 10x7 slo flite prop. You can try the 10x4.5 on the Park 450. Good Luck
