Just found this thread and wanted to post some of the fun things with my FMS /airfield warbords .The hellcat is new , still working on it .
I added retracts , working gear doors , split the flaps , needs weathering and numbers .
All the planes have scale flaps working , retracts and interiors that are scratch built just for fun

Love the weathering on the Corsair! You do that with an airbrush?

yes airbrush with premixed Model master paints . Also used a simple bottle applied with my hand of a product sold in MOdel Train shops calles "model dust".
Its a simple power sold in black , white and other colors used in model trains to add dull dust coats . WIth my fues planes I use the same method then apply dull coat to protect the product from fuel , it will not come off easily but will run with fuel residue

Thanks guys , its been a fun break from fuel warbirds as these FMS planes fly like trainers lol .
I am finishiing a big FW190 (gas) then starting two big eletrics the KMP corsair and the smaller 56" span Dymond Models Black bearcat --Pick one up cheap at $119 , new in box !!! I know its need the tail reinforced but , nice glass fuse ct

Very nice! I just got a PZ F4U Corsair last week and I plan on putting some extra detail on it. Your pics will certainly help!

Not sure, it was sold a month or two ago, I'll ask him if he remembers. If I remember right it was scratch-built.
