Anyone used HobbyPartz 55mm or 64mm fan units?

i was looking at these fans, it seems by the info on the webpage that these 55 and 64mm fans have about the same amount of thrust, except the 55mm runs on 2S and the 64mm on 3S. Has anyone had any experience with these, wondering if they live up to their stated specs.

i havent, but they look ok from what i can see, and there outrunners. id buy one to try, but im in uk, and shipping would take quite a while.

I use the 55 mm EDF, they behave similar to the 55mm EDF GWS except this 55mm have 4blade stator.

Pros:This EDF works very well on 3cells lipo with the following motor...
Can be use with numerous outrunner diameter since the motor mount does have a housing to restrict the diameter of the motor. So it can take from 20mm diameter to 30mm diameter inrunner/outrunner motor.
If you use a 4.2KV motor it will draw about 25-27amps and 4.5KV about 30amps.
Do not know the thrust but will haul a 450grams model vertically up.

Cons:the material is a kind of crystal plastic(similar to the plastic use in cassette tape) so is quite brittle. In an unfortunate hard landing, the stator blade that holds the motor will crack and shear off.
Just too bad that the EDF is a good design but molded with the wrong materials. It should be molded with high impact plastic.

The 55 mm blade can be replaced with GWS 6 bladed impeller.

I have not try the 64mm so unable to comment.
