For Sale Aluminum Motor Mounts for Multiplex, Parkzone, and Flyzone Super Cub Planes

These are custom machined aluminum motor mounts for the following planes:

Multiplex Fun Cub, Mentor, Easy Cub, AcroMaster, Gemini, ParkMaster 3D

This mount is designed to adapt a large range of motors with bolt patterns ranging from 16mm x 16mm to 30mm x 30mm and all combinations in between. The mount is a direct swap with the stock plastic mount and includes cooling holes to allow better airflow into the cowl.

Two step installation:

1. Attach new motor to aluminum mount with the 4 supplied screws
2. Attach entire assembly to the planes fuselage using the stock thrust angle screws and mounting screws

There are two mounts to choose from:

Multiplex 16x19 13.9g - supports 16mm x 16mm, 16mm x 19mm, 19mm x 19mm motor bolt patterns.
Multiplex 19x30 12.6g - supports 19mm x 25mm, 25mm x 25mm, 30mm x 30mm motor bolt patterns.

Multiplex 16x19 Compatible Motors:

E-Flight Park 480 (shaft must be pushed through the back)
and others with the appropriate bolt pattern and reversed motor shaft

Parkzone T28, Corsair, P-51D Mustang, Radian/Radian Pro

This mount is designed to adapt a range of 3530, 3536 and 3542 size brushless motors as well as the Heads Up RC Power up 480 motor to these Parkzone planes for an excellent upgrade in performance.

One of the key features to this mount is that it utilizes the stock plastic mount as a buffer zone in the event of a crash. The very inexpensive and easily replaceable stock plastic mount should take the impact instead of damaging the planes fuselage. No cowl modifications are necessary for the 3530 and 3536 series of motors, simply bolt on and you are ready to fly.

Three step installation (detailed pictures below):

1. Attach new motor to aluminum mount with the motors supplied screws
2. Attach Parkzone stock plastic mount using the original motor screws
3. Attach entire assembly to the planes fuselage with the original mounting screws

T28 / Corsair notes: For proper cowl to propeller clearance on the 3530 and 3536 motors that utilize the bolt on propeller shaft you will use the supplied prop spacer plus the flat washer that comes with the new motor as shown in the pictures below. If using a standard 4mm motor shaft (such as the Heads Up RC Power Up 480), or pressing the shaft forward on the motors utilizing a bolt on shaft, the stock collet adapter and nut will work great. Please note, with the T-28 if using the bolt on propeller shaft style motor you will need to either press the motor shaft forward and use a collet adapter, or slightly enlarge the cowl opening to use the bolt on propeller shaft.

P-51D Mustang notes: For proper cowl to propeller clearance on the 3536 motors that utilize the bolt on propeller shaft you will use the supplied prop spacer plus the flat washer that comes with the new motor as shown in the pictures below. For proper cowl to propeller clearance on the Power Up 480 motor use the stock collet adapter and nut on the 4mm shaft. The Turnigy style 3536 motor can also be used with this mount if the motor shaft is pressed forward and the stock collet adapter is used

Radian/Radian Pro notes: Aluminum mount bolts directly to the planes firewall / cowling with the original mounting screws. Must utilize motors with the reversed motor shaft such as the 3530 / 3536 / 3542 style motors.

For those that want an extreme upgrade in performance on the T28 and Corsair, choose one of the 3542 series motors. The cowl will need to be modified to accommodate these larger motors by slightly enlarging the front opening. The included propeller spacer may or may not be needed depending on which propeller is chosen. Please note that these 3542 motors may exceed the capability of the planes airframe. Special care should be taken when flying at the extreme speeds these planes will be capable of.

Flyzone Select Scale Super Cub

This mount is designed to adapt a 450 size brushless motor to the Flyzone Super Cub for an excellent upgrade in performance. There are no cowl modifcations necessary. This is designed to be a simple bolt on application.

Two step installation (detailed pictures below):

1. Attach new motor to aluminum mount with the motors supplied screws
2. Attach entire assembly to the planes fuselage with the 3 new supplied screws

Compatible Motor:

Heads Up RC Power Up 450 Sport
E-Flite Park 450

Propeller Compatibility:

GWS EP9050
APC 9 x 4.7
There are quite a few other options based on the type of flying characteristic you are after.

The weight of the Power Up 450, aluminum mount, and propeller collet is 80g. Weight of stock motor and mount is 64g. This extra motor weight will allow you to remove some of the 'dead weight' that was installed onto the super cub which should put the COG right back to stock. Of course the COG should always be checked per the manual after any modifications are done to your plane. Weight of aluminum mount is 3g.
