I have one that is still in the box, I bought about a year ago. I planned on using a Turnigy 28-26-1600 KVA, swinging around a 6 or 7" prop on a 2 or 3 Cell 1300 Lipo. I am new to electrics though, so not sure if this is the best way to go. I figured this type of combo would keep the weight low, and have a bit better performance than glow.

You should look for a motor that is about 125-150w.
I really like this eRC motor from HobbyLobby. $19 bucks and spins an 8x6 GWS HD prop at 150w. It would pull that nicely. Here is a link: http://www.hobby-lobby.com/400_size_...ueryId=1196326 I am building a Ace Mach None from an old vintage kit - or I should say I am going to start that build soon. Can't want to get that one converted to electric! Mike |
