What would you do to IMPROVE the little Champ?

I would add ailerons!

What kind of performance improvement did you see with that prop? No risk of burning the electronics in your opinion? Also, do you have a picture of how you fit the 250mAh battery? Would be greatly appreciated!

Have had the prop in use for over a month and I fly this plane daily with no issues.
Had to fit the larger wheels for prop clearance. (which is less tan 1/8th in. now)
As for the battery I made the cuts in front of the landing gear mount in the fuse. The plastic cap, shoulders up against the plastic of the gear mount.
I will try and put up some pics of it later.

I did the 500mAh battery and I can't move it far enough back to get a good flight out of it. I did cut a and move it lots back! Gotta love the little thing!

I tried a 500mah in my UM T28, seems like the motor didn't last as long...
The 250mah seems to be the nice enough upgrade to fly for 10-15 or more mins.
The new UM Mossy will take the 250mah.

Here is where I mounted my 250mah. The CG is dead nuts for me.

Nice mods, Shady! I love the rugged look with the packing tape and chipped paint. And that prop just looks insanely big. Sound exactly like the kind of thing that's crazy enough for me to try! :-)

LOL.... Yea a little rugged. I have had the battery pop off of the velcro in flight, so I pop a piece of tape across the batt. to hold it on.
She has had a few rough landings... I fly this little thing every single day I can find 10 mins..
There are at least 4 of us at work that have Champs, only one guy has left his stock...

LOL!!!! I had that big old 500mAh battery pop off while in-flight and the pendulum effect was AWESOME! And not in a good way! Survived due to my awesome piloting skills!

BTW, I'm just getting more impressed with the Champ every time I fly it. Today I flew in what turned out to be 10+ mph winds. The Super Cub flew, but was really hard to land. And, well, you've read about my moronic attempt to maiden my UM T-28. It pretty much just blew away like a leaf. The Champ, however, was still flyable, to my big surprise. It's probably partly my (lack of) piloting skills that make the other planes hard to fly, but still, that little Champ handles like a... well... Champ!

I flew mine in 10mph + winds this weekend at the local park.
Everyone was impressed by the way it handled the wind....

I believe my Champ is becoming my fave tooo....
