Thanks for posting that Otto. I think I might have been the one to hit Frank's T28 in the last race. I lost my canopy and I think he lost his landing gear.
I'll post some footage I took from the hexakopter soon as I get it pulled off the camera. Tim Peterson |

I asked at the last event, we have 2 more races for the season. I sent email to FG late last week asking for day/location and have not heard back yet. I'll post and facebook the details when I get them. BTW...for those who do not know, SEFSD club facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Silen...163896756394#! |

Most Excellent vids Otto!
Thanks for posting my great last turn dive for the win in round 1! That was a good day of racing, and I think you are right, nary even a broken prop. I'll post scores as soon as they are up, but it looks like I got the MUS Points lead, Otto, how did you do for T-28 points totals? |

Otto,
Be prepared for next season, I'm gonna drop the hammer on your starts. (is'nt that what friends do?) Not because they are too good (which they are), not because you are working within the rules to your advantage (which you are), but because you are working around the air start. Launching right at 10 seconds, you are airborne when the race is started, but having to 'collect' and stage with the others is part of the race. It could be viewed as an unfair advantage as you are 'staging' yourself from a fixed location, always at the same place. Every one else is airborne, and mixing it up. From race to race, they are not at the exact same place when the countdown begins. So.. if it is a ground start by popular demand thats great, if we retain the air start next season, you will need to be airborne like the rest of the group. Now big fella, you callin me out?? ![]() I dont think we have anything suitably matched. The only thing I think I have close, is Richie's ElecoStik. Its the ugly stick made electric. Its all in good fun, I may scrape the fundage together to do Trojan's next year so I can be on your six all day long! |

Hi all,
Had a great day of racing yesterday. Here is some video I shot from my airborne camera during the T-28 heats. This year I'm only showing clips where other competitors are in my field of view. Enjoy. |

Otto,
As usual my friend, you are the one to chase in T-28 class! For me however, it was last years batteries that kept me at the back of the pack. I'll try to scrape the funds up for some fresh electrons before next months event down at my home turf, SEFSD. Thanks for the video! |

Painting them up, makes it much easier to keep track of when you are a turn marshall, and keeps pilots from flying the wrong plane once the race starts. |

I'll say that the T-28 racing was really fun. This was my first time in that class with a borrowed Trojan! I had never flown that particular plane before, so I was really havign a blast banking and yanking a plane I had not even touched before the launch of the race!
Zeroing in on Otto was tough, he is a smooth, fast racer, where I had way too much coffee (having been up late at our first night event the night before, and the time change loss of an hour) and I was twitchy on the sticks. Yeah thats me on Otto's "Six", I had a little ribbon under my rudder to help the turn marshall tell them apart (Nitro Jr. is our turn marshall). There were some catastrophic Mini Ultra Stick losses, in one of my MUS races, there were only three pilots, and the other two guys got into a mid air that totalled them both. So, out of good sportsmanship, I slowed down, did a loop and a roll, and finished the race.. (or was that out of spite?). It was all good as the crowd gave the best reaction and the two other pilots were totally cool about the collision. Real good guys who knew going into it how dangerous the job was. I'll post results when they get finalized, but I did much better this month than last! |
