Default Hobbico Superstar EP

I have a Hobbico Superstar EP airplane. I don't have the battery that came with it. However, I do have a 4.0 20-30 4000 mAH from another plane. Can this be use with the Hobbico Superstar EP? It has the same connection.

By 4.0 do you mean 4 cells? If so then no. The ESC can only handle 12 volts.
Also if it is a 3 cell abbreviated [3s] it can, but the esc is made for nicad and will let you over discharge your lipo.
Discharging a lipo below 3 volts per cell kills them! I would suggest getting an ESC that is lipo friendly.

Don't forget the stock motor is brushed when you look for ESC's. One of these should work
as long as use use only 3 standard servos.

You will need to soldier on battery & motor connectors.

Good Flying,
