I'm experimenting with a Turnigy T302-AD gyro in my Senior Telemaster and I am at a loss on the setup. ![]() My Transmitter is a Dx7 and the Rx is an AR6200. Because the TeleMaster has two aileron servos, I'm using "GEAR" on the Rx for my second servo control. All that is setup well, and all control surfaces work properly and are trimmed. I thought I'd be able to use the AUX2 switch on the transmitter to activate the AUX1 channel on the Reciever to switch the gyro on and off. Sound good so far? But... there doesn't seem to be a choice of "AUX2 > AUX1" on the Dx7, so I'm at a loss about linking my Dx7 AUX2 switch to the AR6200 AUX1 channel. ![]() Since the rest of my setup is finished and trimmed, I'd like to be able to keep the second aileron in GEAR, if possible. Any ideas as to what I'm doing wrong and how to fix it? ![]() Thanks; ...The Bum |

What are you trying to run on the gyro & why did you not use a Y on the ailerons?
This is about the best "gyro" thread. http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showt...035605&page=42 Start @ the last page & work backwards, best info in near the end. |

Been running a "Y" through a DX7 since I got the plane. Now using a DX8 with the same setup. If you have any adverse yaw mix a little rudder (slave) with the ailerons (master) in the direction of the turn & no more adverse yaw.
What are you trying to control with the gyro? |

Like you, I'm using the ST as my "experimental" airplane. I like the idea of flaperons and individual aileron servos because I thought I might like to try about 5% "up" aileron on landing to reduce "floating". Lot's of ideas and none of them possible with a "Y" cable. I think I can get everything I'm looking for if I can just get my AUX2 Tx switch to control my AUX1 Rx channel. ...The Bum (BTW... that RC Groups link is excellent. Thanks for that.) |

Did you try to use the Flaps channel for the gyro? That's where most of us put the rudder gyro if we don't have flaps; especially gyros that are both HH & Rate capable.
EDIT: glad you liked the link. This is the other main ongoing gyro thread, many of the players are the same as the first one I gave you. http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_60...tm.htm#6056543 |
