I've got several of the HobbyKing SK-series motors and like them just fine. The only one that has failed in any way suffered burned windings because I put WAY too much prop on it.
I would have no hesitation about using the recommended motor on this airframe. As with all electric setups, check amp draw to make sure you're not overloading the motor. No brand of motor tolerates being overloaded for very long. |
