Default Ercoupe finally!

Thank you Dumas for finally making an Ercoupe kit! Anybody else jonesing for one of these? I love the "coupe" and as soon as this bad boy debuts I am going to snatch one up. I hope other companies follow suit and construct a foamy kit as well. I'm talking to you Parkzone and Electrifly

At 36" span it's perfect for parkflying.

I've seen this kit for years now, but it is way to big and heavy for my taste. That's why I hope a foamy kit comes out soon. Hopefully the release date doesn't get pushed back later than it already is.

Yeah I know it's balsa, and that's alright. I just don't want a huge plane. 30-40" span is perfect, anything bigger than that and it has trouble fitting in my car. I just hope other companies will see it and make a foamy kit of this plane now

It's a Pat Tritle design, meaning very light weight freeflight style laser-cut and stick construction. I think this long awaited release will be around 60" wingspan or smaller. Many of Pat's electric designs are in the 48" range and are floaters if built and powered per plans. Go to Pat's Custom Models website and look at kit and short kit ads. Most designs have been covered in detailed build threads on RCG E-Zone's Scale Electric forum, Pat also has extensive building tips on the website. I'm building Pats Stinson SR-10 Reliant short-kit as an earlier SR-7 version with much added detail. It will weigh 40 ounces compared to Pat's 28 ounce protoype model.

Edit: It's the 36" version, I think that Pat has plans/short kit for a 60" version on his website, 36 incher to become available in late June 2011 with other new releases.
