Those poor folks took a beaten that was the main topic of the day. Dr's and nurses from UMASS will be flying out to help over there. They did the same in Haiti it is a special triage team that goes to natural disaster sites and set up shop to help.
I think most of us at work said a little prayer in our on way for these folks.
Hope the death toll doesn't keep climbing, but that is going to be inevitable.

So who gets it next? First my little city (Christchurch) and then Japan. God help us all.

I am praying as I sit watching the news this morning, the devastation and suffering are intense over there. Initially they quoted a death toll of 60 people, I was like, well it is bad, but not as bad as the Indonesian tsunami that took 200k plus lives, well now they are saying possibly 10k dead, whole villages wiped out, it breaks my heart to see these things and makes me more and more grateful for what I have and the situation that I live in.

What a horrible tragedy they are going through. It's tough to imagine. Here's a picture I ran across showing nothing is immune to Mother Nature. The loss of a nice F-16 is miniscule in comparison to the loss of life and suffering they are experiencing.
