And paint it, will it work? I can't seem to find the "look" that I want for my mCX2. The stock look is okay but I want something different from what everyone else has. I'm wondering if I order a new canopy and spray paint it black and then add in my orange detail and trim that I want on the canopy if it would come out looking good or if the paint would not adhere to the canopy. What are your thoughts? |

this is sort of the look I am wanting to achieve: A little less orange I think and maybe some black accents in the orange but you get the idea

Hi
You could try but most clear canopies are painted on the inside not the outer surface so that the paint doesnt get scratched up So i would try to find a clear canopy you like and then paint your colors and markings You might find something you like here http://www.micro-flight.com/BLADE-MCX.htm Take care Yours Hank |

I saw that link in another thread I made. It didn't seem like they were geared towards the mCX2. I'm guessing though the mCX parts will work on the mCX2?

Thought I'd jump in on this one. I have the mCX2 and one of those reason was a more realistic paint job. But, this is just 1 Man's opinion. I love the FAA lighting as well. Its good looking now, are you sure you want to change a good thing? Remember, this is MY opinion and maybe your looking for a paint job means you're really looking for a new heli?? Just a thought. Have a great day!!
