Default Hobbyking Edge 540 setup

Hey guys, I'm thinking of building a Hobbyking Edge 540. What do you think is a good 3d setup? I'm planning on using a 3s 2200mah lipo.....

I'm thinking that a 2200 3S is probably too heavy for this bird if you want to 3D. I'm thinking your motor should probably be a 57g/2 ounce motor comparable to a Hacker A20-20L. For the ESC probably something comparable to a CC Phoenix 25. For the battery you'll probably want no more than 1300 mah to 1500 mah at 25C.

With an 1800 mAh this .10 will net you around 2:1 aircraft T:W and around 12 mins (3D) to 15 mins (cruise) flying time. I get 8-10 minutes with my Art-Tech Yak 54, which is the exact same size and weight as your plane, with a lighter 1300 mAh:

2.2 oz motor weight generating 45 oz of thrust from a GWS 11x7 HD or APS 11x3.8 SF is by far the highest T:W motor I've found at 20:1. For comparison, E-flight and Turnigy motors max out under 11:1 on 3S. But don't amp it up above 400W/35A for more than 15-30 secs without temp telem.
