If it can handle the weight, I'd say place it as close to the center of gravity as possible. I'd go for under the fuselage to keep the weight under it and have it face slightly downward.

On my micro i placed the keychain cam under the plane.
But u need to fly full speed all the time tho else the plane will fall dead to the ground because of the extra weight. |

Man! You're getting no help at all. Let me see if I can fix it. First look at these two threads by RCFella, who not only is a great pilot but does FPV (or did) with his UM T-28 Trojan:
