Default Futaba R617FS reciever hookup

Alright I am having trouble with setting up a Futaba R617FS reciever set-up in a Lanxaing f-16 EDF with thrust vectoring. My problem is this. The model comes pre wired with the BEC inline with the throttle. The throttle must be on channel 3 and the battery or BEC must be on channel 7. My TX is a 2.4ghz 7c also futaba and the aileron rudder throttle and elevator must stay on channels 1-4 channel 5 is retractable gear and channels 6 and 7 are used for the thrust vectoring. Does anyone know how or if it would be possible to get this setup to work?

I am not sure I completely understand your problem but the BEC can plug into any open space on the receiver. If the BEC is already connected to channel 3 along with the ESC it should still work just like it was with the original receiver.

That would be true with most recievers however the futaba R617FS will only accept battery power on channel seven, or at least mine will only accept power on channel seven.

Really? I am sure I have done that before with my 617 receivers. I will have to check it out. It is possible the ESC is opto coupled and you would have to have power coming into the ESC on another channel as well.

K, I just checked 2 of my 617 receivers and they both worked with the BEC plugged into any slot.

I would think now the ESC is opto coupled and requires an alternate power source to work (BEC). We have a Ice 120HV that is that way. If you just plug in the ESC nothing has power and it will not arm until you plug in the BEC.

Mike

Pics might help if you can take some.

Yup - you can power those rx's on any channel. Its the same with virtually any receiver on the market. They all feed power to the servos on all the channels, so they can take it in the same way.

Even rx's that have dedicated "power" input slots can be fed on any channel.

I think I need a signature.
