LOL! I wouldnt waste my time. They are extremely difficult to build with the precision necessary and are almost impossible to fly without gyro stabilization.

Despite that, mine was a lot of fun during its very short life - mostly because is was so funny watching me TRY to get it off the ground. It spent more time up-side down than right side up

I think I need a signature.

I love seeing all the different scratch built planes. There are so many different types of design and new ideas. Some of your scratch builts are totally beauitful in design, workmanship, and covering. Thanks for posting to all who have contributited, keep them coming. I have posted 2 more of my recent planes. I have about 100 planes all scratch built.

I like planes from 30" to 40" I have some smaller and some larger. The larger planes are mostly fuel planes. These small planes can be built is one or two evenings for a cost of almost nothing. I can fly them almost any place. I can carry 5 = 10 planes to the field if I want to. but because of their small size I can even fly them in my back yard.

I love the looks of the red and white plane in the back corner of 1st photo. It looks like a Taurus. I have a set ofr plans from Model Airplane News at 68" span. Maybe I will scale them down between 35" and 40" and make it one of my next projects. I have always liked the way that plane looks.

Great looking planes

Thanks, The plane in the back is a 70% Taurus. Here's the build thread I did on it.

From a few years back.. Su-26m built from scratch from my own plan.. at the time there were no kits for the Su-26.. I saw the full size prototype in an aviation magazine and thought i had to have one!

I still have the model but it's rather knocked about after a bad crash caused by engine failure at an inopportune moment. Maybe one of these days I'll do an electric conversion, it's very light so it would be a good candidate.
