When I went to balance it, I was surprised at how badly out of balance it was. The manual said it should be balanced right out of the box. But they did suggest checking it out. I ended up using 1 ¼ ounces of weight. Since the specifications say it is a 19 -21 oz. plane, I thought about 5% of the total weight for balancing was quite a bit. Has anyone here had similar experience with the Flyzone J3 or similar sized planes? You can see a couple of the lead weights sitting on the nose on the final balance – there are 3 weights glued inside the cowl. I am anxious to get it in the air stepping up from my HZ Champ. I am hoping it fares better than my SkyFlymax. ![]() Roger |
