Need Help With My FMS Mini P51 Mustang

I have Just Recently purchased a mini P51 mustang made by FMS, The controller that came in the RTF package is quite touchy, I have a JR Max 66 propo Rdaio kit at home only prblem is that it is 36Mhz and all the electrics on the plane are 2.4Ghz... I have tried to install my JR micro reciever into the aircraft and plugging in the battery and all the servos and then tried to use my JR rdaio... Dont know yet if this is going to work... Does anyone have any information on this kind of conversions for electric RTF rc aircraft.. that could help.. cheers

Plugging in your own receiver will work just fine on almost all models.
I'm not personally familiar with the fms p51 but unless it uses a brick that is an all in one receiver, serve,and esc then it should be fine.
I have a number of rtf craft that I've switched out the receiver for my own with no issues.
