Hobby Lobby Zero Landing Gear ARGH!!

Just finished putting together the Hobby Lobby a6m5c Zero and the landing gear won't "lock" into place... so far I'm not too impressed with the quality control from this company (part missing, foam damage in box, etc.) and now this. Any ideas? I have a feeling it's just a bad part as it just won't do it.... *sigh*

I mean, I know I can adjust the throw but the mechanism SHOULD lock manually anyway right?

I have found the folks at HL to be very helpful. They are my LHS and have always been open to answering questions and concerns. Give them a call to express your issue and they should be able to help. I looked at that bird myself. It is quite beautiful. I didn't get a close look though so I cannot speak to the workmanship. They have one hanging in the store.
