Default Not so hopeless,

It was a nice still day yesterday,I had to go to the club.I took the Super Cub and the Ultimate. After looking a round a bit I took the cub and placed it ever so gently on the runway.I shook my hands and applied Power to the big brushless. The tail lifted and I pulled a bit of elavotor. She lifted up and was flying. I made a turn to the left and flew the lenght of the runway.Made a right and came back.My son (and coach) said WOW! I was really making progress. He said he could not have done it any better.I kept this up for about ten minutes.
I did have a bit of a close call,I flew it over my head and lost sight of the plane for a bit. When I found it again it was heading downward towards the end of the runway.I was able to pull it out of that real smoothly. It almost looked like I planed it that way.
The flight of the Ultimate was not as pretty but I came home with two planes that did not need fixing. What a thrill to only need to charge batteries.
I have been working real hard with my flight sim and the cub flies just like the trainer on the sim.
Needless to say I am happy.
Later on.

Thats great to hear, all your work with a sim and hands on Does pay off Take care, Chellie

Do not Judge, or you too will be Judged. For in the same way you Judge others, you will be Judged, and with the same measure you use, it will be measured to You.

Aaaaahhh, the first successful flight. Like I said right after my first successful flight, "it's a little like your first kiss"... :-)

Congratulations! Your time left for work and other activities, as well as the contents of your wallet, will shrink from now on...

CONGRATULATIONS! You're officially an RC pilot! (I know some people say you're not a pilot unless you've crashed, but I can give the TX to my dog and she can do that! ). Now what you need to do is go the the A.M.A. site, click on "shop" and get yourself a "first flight" pin.

OK, you don't really have to do that, but it would be fun to reward yourself.

Congratulations!

All of my landings are three point landings if you count the spinner, too
