Default BUSA Sopwith Pup Conversion

Members,
I'm converting a 1/6 scale BUSA Sopwith Pup to electric. I need to put the battery just behind the firewall. How have you solved the need for access through a battery hatch?

I'm guessing behind the aft landing gear plate and slide the battery forward or between the landing gear plates. Other possibilities?

Thanks,

Steve

Here's the hatch on mine, Steve. A 4S4000 "stubby" type pack fits in there very snugly.
