ID:	148289I built a Gee Bee D model from a short kit and got to fly it briefly to test it out near dusk a few weeks ago. The weather has been horrible either raining or high winds ever since. Sunday was a great day with calm winds, so off to the flying field I went. With a very little trim I was having a blast flying it. I can see why it was a great pylon racer. It corners like it was on rails. It does like to land at a good clip though or it might tip stall. It seems to like it likes to set down on the mains and then let the tail settle also. Getting the right speed to land is a little tricky, too fast and it will float down the field and too slow and it could get ugly quick. I'm thinking of trying a spoileron mix to help out. I got 5 nice long flights out of it and was very pleased. I have a new favorite plane.

Watch how much elevator throw you have or it will really be a handful. I have very little throw and it is still very sensitive. On landing I use a lot of throttle control to set mine down too and of course the CG is critical. That being said, once trimmed out it is very fun to fly! Good luck with yours!
