WHITMAN FLYERS ELECTRIC FLY-IN 8/13 2011 Bethpage NY
Hello, Please see the attached notice for the Whitman Flyers Electric Fly-In. This has quickly become known as one of the best electric fly-in in the northeast. All electric aircraft are welcome. No pressure, just a nice relaxing fly-in at one of the best flying sites in the northeast. Lats year we had over 75 pilots and 200 aircraft of ALL TYPES!!! One of the best fields on the east coast!!!
Hello,
Several people have asked just how big our field is. It is 1100' x 600' of cut sod. The pit area is 100' x800' long with plenty of room for everyone. The $5 landing fee includes breakfast and lunch. People wanting to use generators for charging is fine and plenty of room for pop up sun shades. Great Pilot raffle and pay raffle. This year have have permission for vendors to come in and sell. Well, Saturday will be my first time at the polo grounds, but i'm bringing a bunch of planes and a bunch of friends!!! so far my stryker, ugly stick, f-16, me-182, wildcat and my 22 inch w/s David flying wing are all ready to go!!! Batteries are ready to go, pop-up tent is in the car,and so is my field box. i gotta remember sunblock!!!LOL!!

We had a GREAT TIME flyin with our new bestest buddies from the Whitman flyers!!!!!!
Louis Schwab was a Great host and put up with all our shenanigans and foolishness with fine character!! a nicer venue to fly from could not be hoped for. the polo field is mowed to within an inch of its life, large enough to land a full scale Cessna in easily!! i hope we can go back real soon!! here's a video to enjoy!!
