Default Hello Watts Flyer! - Just Wanted to Stop in and Say Hello!

Hello Everyone,

I am new to the Watt Flyer website and have been flying now for around 6 years. I am out of Fresno, CA and I am a proud member of the Fresno Radio Modelers. When I first started flying, I flew an electric. I soon started purchasing a wide variety of planes including Nitro, Gas, Giant Scale aircraft, and after 6 years have come to the conclusion that Electric Flying is for me… I just love being able to fly and then recharge batteries, and continue to fly without any of the sticky mess that gas leaves. Much Cleaner and has the same Power, just less noise =P I hope to help people on the forums, and in return learn from more of the experienced electric pilots. I fly just about all types of airplanes, and am known to put airplanes that are not suppose to be used for Aerobatics, into some pretty harsh Aerobatic Maneuvers. I guess you could say, I LOVE Aerobatic flying! This seems to be the place to be online if you are an Electric Flyer! Just wanted to say Hello to Everyone and Wish Everyone Happy Flying!

If you are new to flying and need any sort of advice on planes, motors, anything feel free to Email me or Message me on here…

Thanks and Happy Flying !

Cole Mayfield

Welcome to Wattflyer. I like starting the motor by advancing the throttle stick and KNOWING it will run right! And I like stopping and restarting the motor in flight.

Welcome, Cole. Sounds like you will be a nice addition to the forums.

What are some of the electrics you are flying?

wolfewinde: Thank You ! I look forward to posting help and posting questions ! I already posted my first question on my HiTec Charger and got a response ! I am flying a number of different Electric Planes right now... I will say I am some what stuck on SebArt ARF Kits. They are beautifully designed and are terrific airplanes.. I recently purchased the Angles S 50E and is one of the nicest easiest Aerobatic planes, I have ever flown...

You'll find its a little different here than some of the other forums.
For the most part questions get answered without having to wait a week, and without being belittled for asking it in the first place.
Seems to me everyone here remembers what it was like to have questions. At some of the other sites people act like they were born knowing everything and look down on those that weren't lol.

Amen...

I have posted on several other forums, and have found that not everyone agrees with some things, even if you have proof/facts... It is nice to find a Forum dedicated to something that you enjoy to do and the people on it feel the same way you do.. I look forward to posting...

Thanks for joining the famliy and for offering to help the new guys. That is always welcome.

As for everyone agreeing on things, well don't expect that here. We all have our particular points of view and focus.

You are a power pilot and an aerobat.

I fly small electrics and thermal duration gliders. I can't hold an inverted flight to save my life, but I can take a plane with no motor and get it 2000 feet into the sky and 1/2 mile out. I consider that fun.

It's all good. The joy is that there are so many types of flying available to us. It is wonderful that we have such a broad choice.
