Default It's The End Of The World As We Know It, And I Feel Fine

Another end of the world has come and gone. Heck I didn't even crash a plane today. All is well in the universe. The only problem I have is, I want a new airplane, but my wife made me go buy new clothes with my allowance. She told me my Jeans had more holes tha a block of Swiss Cheese, and all my shirts had glue balls all over them. I want a Formosa II or something like that. Anyone have a Formosa II, do you like it

use a 3530-1400 KV motor or a 3542-10 for hyber performance on the Formosa II, some people use the 3548-09 motor, but that motor is way to long and might not fit into the cowel, take care, Chellie

Dont know anything about the formosa II, but the first version has incredible handling. Cheap plane that requires several easy mods to make saddle stronger, I only have a 4 flights on mine, loved everyone of them til the last....bout 18oz with approx 165watts, pretty fast for me(about 60 65 mph)

have a good one

When I heard of this latest prediction, I thought of an episode of the old tv series Barney Miller.

They'd arrested a guy for disturbing the peace; he was screaming that the world would end at such and such a date. The show proceded through various stories, as it did, and at the end Capt. Miller went over to the guy in his cell, and said something like "Well, I guess the world didn't end after all".

Whereupon the annoyingly smug, irritatingly strident street preacher replied;

"And you thought prayer wouldn't help".

Seriously, it was so close to similar encounters I've had with the type, I only wished it was within the theme of the show that they should take him to a back room somewhere and rough him up for being such a schmuck.

On a more topical note, the world didn't seem to end on the 21st, but my computer did crash. Maybe it wasn't the real world that was ending, but the virtual one. No great loss, in my opinion.

I bought 2 planes thinking "She who must be obeyed" would have karked it with the rest of us.
Trouble is we're both still here and now I have to explain......

Maybe a new pair of shoes will help her get over it!

My wife doesn't understand me....
I love the Blues and Pink Floyd - she hates both.
She isn't impressed by RC stuff either.
Oh well, I suppose I get to go to gigs with the lads while she stays in and does the ironing and fly in total peace and quiet while she stays home and does more ironing.
Now that's a recipe for a successful marriage if ever I saw one!

"Oops, sorry, my calculations were off. The end will be 10/21/11."

I wonder how much money his "church" made?

LOL probably in the millions, but just for this quarter. If he was smart, he would just go along with doomsday (12/21/12) and have more time to take money from those "cult followers". Isnt he like 90years old, too. Maybe he watches Wheel of Fortune too much. "Cmon Big Money"

have a good one

He's 86 I think, and he's done this before. I think last time he made a prediction was when his church was going bankrupt, and they wound up raking in like $72M.

I am planning one heck of a fly-In on 12/20/12. You will be allowed to bring any addiction or vice with you, moral or immoral. What will it matter if we keel over from over indulgence, get arrested. According to the Mayan's, Hopi's and many others, the Moon will be in the 7th house, and Jupiter aligns with Mars or something like this, is going to vaporize the Earth. I just want to go out on a high note. If it don't happen, we will have something to tell the Grand Kids about the end of time and a lot of explaining to your better half, why you emptied the bank accounts, to go to a Fly-In

or, as the "Beyond the Fringe" group put it in the 60s, "Now is the End, Perish the World..." Find that skit if you can, seems to me Peter Cook and others were involved, and hear cynicism at its best.

How about Barry Mcquire's "Eve Of Destruction" The Eastern World it is Exploding. I know lots of songs, I wanted to be a DJ, but I have a speech problem. People on the phone, drive thru, ect call me Mam. It sucks, you will also stave to death at a small radio station as a beginner DJ. At one time I had over 2500 albums. I miss albums, CD's just don't sound right right right right right.
