The data on the motor etc. they used for the article are : Motor : Max 3516-1350 ESC : 54 amp Battery: 2200 mah 3S Prop: 10x7 APC Since I trashed my Spitfire with motor and ESC from Jeff with the following stuff now available to me, see http://www.wattflyer.com/forums/show...8&postcount=94 : Motor : 2826-11 Outrunner ESC : 32A Power Up Prop : 9x6E Lipo : 3s 2200mah 25C 1/2 throttle 6A 81watts 3/4 throttle 13A 160watts Full throttle 19.5A 224watts Since I don't want to burn up the sky, I just want to put a little hole in it, would the above setup work ok in the DogFighter ? If not, can someone or Jeff make some recommendations ? Or in the future if someone buys this plane post in this thread what you did and how it worked ? As you can guess I am looking for a replacement for the Parkzone Spitfire I trashed a week ago... The DogFighter or the fullsize Parkzone T28 are at the moment my possible picks. Since I have a spare motor and electronics from the Spitfire the DogFighter looks interesting and less expensive. Thanks.. Bob |

The 2836-11 should fly the Dogfighter very nicely.
We haven't seen the plane yet, but when it is available to us, we'll include a power system recommendation in the store listing, and the 2836-11 could be part of the "moderate" performance set up. Of course, we'll actually do some flying with the model first, so we know from first hand experience what we're talking about when we make our recommendations. |

Jeff:
Thanks for the reply. I look forward to your recommendations on a power setup for this plane in the future. I went to the Multiplex site, and they don't even have it listed yet, so I don't know when it will be "officially available". Bob |
