This heli flying must be addictive because I find myself looking on ebay etc, at more expensive models. One which has caught my eye is the Walkera 4G1B, mainly because of price and the fact that some parts are ali and not plastic. Has anyone flown one? Are they a good choice for a beginner, any comments good/ bad would be welcomed. Thanks Ray.

I have one. I have had it for a long time...because all I did was crash every time I tried to fly it.
I decided to give this rc heli hobby another try, so I got a blade msr. After fixing my xmitter issues (shoot even with them) I am flying! After three batteries I am able to fly an entire battery and never set down. So maybe look at the msr..... ![]() Ha! Just saw the date on this post! My bad. Bet he is flying nito now. |

Hi Icemanrulz,
I did buy a 4g1b but not until last Dec. 010. After many broken blades and a couple of motors ( think they got over heated, used to long) I can now hover/ fly, indoors only. They only fault is a very weak undercarriage/ skids. I now check the main motor and stop flying if it gets to hot! Good Luck, Ray
