Default Nice experience in Mesquite!

I was in Mesquite, TX for business the first part of this week and when I was about to leave my customer to go to the airport, I happened to see a small hobby store called A1-Hobby. Since I needed a few small things, I figured I might just pop in and save myself a trip to my LHS at home and get them there.

Imagine my surprise when the store was 1) well stocked, 2) had a knowledgeable owner who 3) didn't give me a lot of attitude. In the north-east, some stores have one of those three qualities (maybe), but never all three at the same time. I had some time to spare, so I stayed in the store and chatted with the owner for a few minutes and he actually took the time to chat and didn't seem annoyed that I was in his store... That would be unheard of where I live!

That's why I love to visit Texas. The Texans may be tough on the surface, but spend 2 minutes with them and they are the nicest people you ever meet. Here in NJ/NY people are nasty at first and get even nastier when you get to know them...

Great to hear stores like that still exist.
We are usually stuck with 2 out of 3 around here.
