I have searched a lot for info on this so my question is this; am I correct in thinking a few high end radios allow you to change modes 1,2,3,and 4 in the software while others only allow mode 1 or 2? Thanks in advance, Partzee |

Hi Partzee
You will have too buy a mode 4 Transmitter It is possible to buy an rc transmitter and change the mode yourself, but this involves dismantling the case and changing the position of the small gimbal springs in order to determine the throttle stick. Connections might also need to be changed. This procedure isn't recommended unless you are very competent with this kind of delicate work I have a high end radio A JR !2 and i would have to dismantle and change it manually I know of no radio that would be an easy change Take care Yours Hank |

I will not need to change the springs or the throttle ratchet if the radio is mode 2.Throttle will still be on the left, but the aileron and rudder controls would be effectively swapped to make mode 4.
Tks,Partzee |

Futaba's new T6J that goes for the price of a DX6i offers all stick modes
![]() Oh, and Spektrum receivers are way more than the Futaba S-FHSS receivers, only the "orange" receivers offer a lower cost alternative with "Spek" http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXARLD&P=0 Pete |
