So i recently bough parts to build a quadrotor helicopter. The motors i bough have a max current draw of 18A. and a required voltage of 11.1v. I understand it's a powerfull motor but this much current seems unreasonable. Also can i give it more voltage? I'm not quite sure how the voltage or power control comes into play. I did buy 4 esc's rated at 18 amps.
Also, If anyone could point me in the direction of some good control help I would appreciate it. I'm going to use an arduino mega for the flight computer. I found some code from aeroquad. I would prefer to write my own code i just need to know how i should read the sensors and how to make the motors compensate for the error.
