Alex at Value Hobbies and their products are...so far have been great. I post all over the place about them. Remember, in RC flight any failures are bad, and unsafe. "Burn-in" your electrical components. So if you ever have any failures hopefully it will be on the bench. THAT is the bigger picture. And you can expect ~ 2-5% failure from Chinese "container" type stock/retailers.
Horizon Hobby sets the benchmark for customer service. They have much to cover for! Doug |

Follow up on cracked Neptune engine pod:
Alex was willing to replace it, however, I was able to trim out the section that was cracked. I have had great success with the airplanes and motors he sells. Hard to beat the price!!!!! By the way... The Neptune is awesome on the water and flys like a big trainer!

Bought a set of servoless electric retracts from VH. Arrived in 3 days and love em. VH is on my " A" List along with #1 headsuprc and #2 Grayson Hobby. Still buy stuff from HK but the shipping is such a killer.

I gave up on hobby king a long time ago. I got sick of waiting 2-4 weeks for a $5 part. I'll pay the extra $1 and get it from heads up rc. Never had a problem with these guys.
I have been tempted by value hobbies batteries and knockk off arf's. |

I agree. I wait till I need a bunch of stuff before ordering anything from HK. Prices are alluring but factor in the shipping? Headsup charges about $3.00 on most everything. But I did pull the trigger on a Durafly DH-88 Comet today. 1120mm WS twin with counter rotating props, retracts, lights, etc. for $119.00. Looks like a gem. Could not help myself. So, I added another frsky rx and some other stuff. -Hawk |
